Loc-King

      Ronald Burrell, The Loc-King is a native of a small town called Havana, Fl. The name Loc-King originates from a term used in the natural hair care industry, Locking. Locking is a term used to describe the process by which single strands of hair combine to make dreads. By taking that word and hyphenating the two syllables, I became the Loc-King.I became heavily infatuated with the locking process of hair after being exposed to properly maintained locs. I only had knowledge of one type of dreads, yes... the kind no one wants to have. I immediately started the process for myself after I learned how to do so and never regretted one moment. I grew locs from March 2006 - April 2012. Feeling compelled to share my love of the art form, I had my first loc client in 2006.Eventually I decided to make my passion more than just a hobby. In the summer of 2009 I adopted the alias Loc-King and began a Mobile styling business. Believing that just because you can't afford salon prices, doesn't mean that you don't deserve the same level of service. With that in mind, I decided to take the salon to my CLIENTS homes. Finding a perfect blend of high quality and affordable styles, I was on my way. After building a stable and supportive clientele I transformed into a licensed salon stylist at Ablaze Hair Studio in 2011. I am a Master Loctician offering all maintainable services for Locs.
